The iPad

What will the ipad do? What is the future of the Ipad. The ipad is Apple's latest creation. The ipad is a direct hit to Amazon's Kindle and will sufficiently add to Apple's bottom line. How so?

Amazon's Kindle was the hottest product of last year's holiday season and has projected sales for the year '10 of 10 million. To put that into perspective, if Apple's iPad sold 10 million units it would add additional revenue of 5 billion, not to factor in Add-on's purchases from a whole new store. One could estimate the additional revenue to be be another 1-2 billion bringing Apple's revenue to an increase of 6-7 billion. The ipad will transform communication as we know it. Personally, if I wasn't an Apple fanatic I would hold off the first generation iPad due to the lack of a camera. Apple's next generation iPad should have a front-facing built in camera and allow for video conferencing. Video conferencing on the iPad would be perfect for a number of reasons. The iPhone is too small for video conferencing and a TV may be too large and customers would not have an intimate experience. The iPad will transform book purchases, airplane time, and education systems as we know. If you're able to get a discount of the purchases of text books and books over the long run Apple's iPad may prove well worth the investment.
